John Pinches Sun Yat-sen Silver Medal – Honoring Dr Sun Yat-sen father of the Republic of China

A distinguished Franklin Mint sterling silver commemorative medal produced by renowned British medalist and silversmith John Pinches, commemorating Dr. Sun Yat-sen, referred to on the issue as the “Father of the Republic of China”.

Issued on 12th March 1975, this beautifully struck medal is crafted from .925 sterling silver and honours one of the most influential figures in modern Chinese history. Its substantial silver content, detailed portraiture and association with John Pinches make it an appealing addition to collections of Franklin Mint medals, Chinese historical memorabilia, world medals and numismatic pieces.

The medal is presented in good overall condition, displaying light signs of previous handling. There are a few very light areas of tarnishing, predominantly to the obverse, consistent with age and storage. These are relatively minor and are clearly visible in the photographs.

The medal bears the “JP” mark associated with John Pinches.

It comes encapsulated, providing additional protection while maintaining its attractive presentation.
