Simply Collectable has been buying and selling antiques and collectables since 2015. Our shop brings together hallmarked silver, genuine pre-owned watches, antique and vintage jewellery, British coins and proof sets, porcelain figures, art and other collectables. Every piece is hand-picked, photographed and described exactly as it is, with any wear or marks clearly noted.

Understanding British silver hallmarks

A British hallmark is a set of small stamped marks that confirm a piece’s precious metal content. On sterling silver you will usually find a maker’s mark, a standard mark such as the lion passant or the number 925 (meaning 92.5% pure silver), an assay office mark such as the anchor for Birmingham or the leopard’s head for London, and often a date letter showing the year the piece was tested. Together they tell you who made an item, where it was assayed and, usually, when. Our close-up photos let you see the marks, and the condition, for yourself.

Buying pre-owned watches with confidence

Every watch in our shop is genuine, tested and fully working before it is listed. Automatic watches wind themselves as you wear them, manual wind watches need winding by hand, and quartz watches run on a battery, so it is worth choosing the movement that suits how often you will wear it. If you would like to see a watch running, we are happy to send extra photos or a short video.

Coins, proof sets and commemorative coins

Our coin collection includes British coins, silver coins and Royal Mint proof and commemorative sets. Proof coins are struck with specially polished dies to give a mirror-like finish, which is why they are usually kept in their original capsules and cases. Some of our Royal Mint sets came from a collection unopened, but we list them as pre-owned to be completely clear.

Why buy antiques and collectables from us

UK delivery is free on every order. We dispatch within 1–2 working days, and delivery usually takes 2–4 working days. Items over £100 are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, and everything else goes Royal Mail Tracked. Every item, including pre-owned pieces, can be returned within 30 days. If you would like extra photos or a video of anything in the shop, just ask.

Are your items new or pre-owned?
Most of our antiques and collectables are pre-owned and described honestly, including any signs of age. Our New Silver Jewellery range and Valcambi Suisse items are new.

Are your watches genuine?
Yes. Every watch we sell is genuine, tested and fully working before it is listed.

How much is UK delivery?
Nothing. UK delivery is free on every order.

Can I return an item?
Yes. Everything can be returned within 30 days, and we refund within 3 working days of the return arriving.
