John Henry Wynn Sterling Silver Cigarette Case – Birmingham 1934

A fine sterling silver cigarette case by John Henry Wynn, dating from 1934, and presented in good overall condition for its age. It displays light signs of use and wear consistent with its vintage nature.

The case features an attractive engine-turned design to both the front and reverse, giving it a classic and timeless appearance. The interior is beautifully finished in gold gilt and retains a silver cigarette holder in place of the more commonly found retaining strap, a particularly desirable feature on an older cigarette case.

The interior bears the initials “D.P.G.” Please note that there is some wear to the gold gilt interior where an attempt appears to have been made to remove the initials.

There are a few light marks and scratches, together with some very minor dings which are difficult to capture in the photographs but are consistent with age and previous use. The latch and release button operate smoothly.
