About This Nadal My Picture Book Figurine

A small child sits on the floor in blue star-patterned pyjamas, drawing in an open book with a pencil in hand, while a box of colouring pencils sits close by. The tousled hair, big eyes and bare toes give the piece plenty of personality. Look closely at the book and you can see the bright little flowers and sun on its pages. The artist’s signature and the edition number are marked on the figure, as shown in the photographs.

About Nadal Studio

Nadal is a Spanish porcelain maker from Valencia, a city with a long tradition of fine ceramics, and it has been linked with figurines inspired by family and childhood themes. One guide to Spanish porcelain traces the company back to Enrique Nadal in 1915. A Nadal My Picture Book figurine is a lovely example of the studio’s gentle and appealing style.

Why Limited Editions Appeal to Collectors

A limited edition has a fixed number of pieces, so each one carries its own place in the run. With its number, signature, box and certificate all together, this Nadal My Picture Book figurine has everything a collector looks for. Keeping the box and paperwork safe will help to preserve the provenance of the piece for the future.

Displaying and Gifting

At 12cm high, this figurine is small enough for a shelf, a bedside table or a display cabinet, and it would look lovely in a child’s bedroom or a family room. It makes a thoughtful gift for a new baby, a christening, a teacher or a booklover, and the presentation box means it is ready to give.

Caring for Your Figurine

Dust your Nadal My Picture Book figurine gently with a soft, dry brush, taking care around the hair, fingers and pencil. Avoid water and cleaning products on the painted surfaces, keep it out of direct sunlight, and always lift it from the base rather than by the small details.
