About This Nadal My Book of Animals Figurine

A little girl sits on a stone-style bench, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a dark spotted dress tied with a pale sash at the back. She looks down at an open book of animal pictures on her lap, while a small teddy bear sits beside her on the bench. The soft blues and greys, along with the textured bench, give this Nadal My Book of Animals figurine a calm and gentle feel. The artist’s details are marked on the bench, as shown in the photographs.

About Nadal Studio

Nadal is a Spanish porcelain maker from Valencia, a city with a long tradition of fine ceramics, and its figurines often focus on family and childhood themes. One guide to Spanish porcelain traces the company back to Enrique Nadal in 1915. A Nadal My Book of Animals figurine shows the charm that has made these pieces popular with collectors.

A Matching Figurine

You may also like our Nadal My Picture Book figurine, which is also by L. Alarcon and from a limited edition of 5,000. The two would make a charming pair on a shelf or in a display cabinet.

Displaying and Gifting

At 19cm high, this is a good size for a shelf, a mantelpiece or a cabinet, and the teddy bear makes it a lovely choice for a child’s bedroom or a family room. A Nadal My Book of Animals figurine would make a thoughtful gift for a new baby, a christening, a teacher or anyone who loves books and animals.

Caring for Your Figurine

Dust your figurine gently with a soft, dry brush, taking care around the hat, the teddy bear and the fingers. Avoid water and cleaning products on the painted surfaces, keep it out of direct sunlight, and always lift it from the bench rather than by the figure.
